Where to keep it
Choose a cool room. Avoid a sunny windowsill, the top of a radiator or a spot near a heating vent, and avoid drafts from doors and windows. Heat and direct sun are what shorten the life of cut roses fastest.
Leave the roses in the box
Rose boxes are arranged to stay in the box, so do not move the roses to a vase. Moving them undoes the arrangement and the roses lose the support they were built with. If the roses sit in floral foam
Some boxes hold the roses in floral foam. If yours does, add a small amount of water to the foam as needed. Add a little at a time rather than flooding the box.
