Rose bouquets FAQ

What people ask before ordering a rose bouquet: sizes, meanings, personalization and care.

What does the number of roses mean?

Popular traditions attach meanings to some counts: one rose for love at first sight, a dozen for a declaration of love, and very large counts such as 100 for a lifetime of devotion. These are customs rather than rules. Our bouquets come in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 150 and 200 roses, so choose the size that feels right for the occasion and the space where it will be displayed.

Is a bigger rose bouquet always better?

Not always. A very large bouquet makes a strong statement for a proposal or a milestone, but it is heavier to carry and needs room to display. For a dinner date or a small apartment, 20 to 40 roses is often easier to enjoy. The Grand Romance and Grand Passion bouquets are built in floral foam for stability at 100 roses and up.

Can a rose bouquet include a name, initial or number?

Yes. The Signature Initial Rose Bouquet is designed around an initial, the Milestone Rose Bouquet includes a custom baby’s breath number, and the Personalized Rose Mirror Bouquet carries your personalized message on a shatter-resistant acrylic mirror insert. Add your details to the order notes or contact us before ordering.

What is a mirror rose bouquet?

It is a rose bouquet built around a reflective insert that holds a personal message. Ours, the Personalized Rose Mirror Bouquet, uses a lightweight, shatter-resistant reflective acrylic mirror with roses, baby’s breath and greenery around it. It comes in 20, 40 or 60 roses and suits birthdays, anniversaries and graduations.

Can I get roses and chocolates together?

Yes. The Sweetheart Luxury Rose & Chocolate Bouquet combines 40, 60 or 80 roses with Ferrero Rocher chocolates, pearl accents and a personalized message. If you prefer a box, see the Luxury Heart Surprise Box or the Minnie Rose & Chocolate Box.

What does baby’s breath add to a rose bouquet?

Baby’s breath, also called gypsophila, adds tiny white flowers that soften the outline and make the roses stand out. It can frame the roses, fill the gaps between them or be shaped into a number, as in the Milestone Rose Bouquet. Classic 20 Red Roses can be ordered with or without it.

Which rose bouquet is right for an anniversary?

Think about the year you are celebrating. The Milestone Rose Bouquet shows the number of years in baby’s breath. Forever Together frames red roses with white roses, and Endless Love is a red rose design in 40, 60 or 80 roses. For a landmark year, 100 roses or more makes a statement.

Why might rose shades look slightly different from the photo?

Roses are a natural product and their colour changes with the season, the grower and how open the flower is. Pink roses in particular range from pale blush to deeper pink. Our Blush Romance listing notes that shades may vary slightly while the style and value stay the same. If an exact colour matters, contact us before ordering.

How do I make roses last longer?

Recut hand-tied stems at an angle under water if you can, remove leaves below the waterline and change the water every day or two. Keep roses cool and away from direct sun, heat and fruit. If a rose droops early, recut the stem and let it drink in deep water. For designs in floral foam, keep the foam moist rather than moving the roses.

How far in advance should I order a rose bouquet?

Order rose bouquets and boxes at least 24 hours in advance. Delivery is available; contact us with the address and date so we can confirm availability and any delivery charge. If you want a personalized design, such as an initial, a number or a mirror message, add the details to your order notes so we can confirm them in time.
